This month, we’ve hopped on board with Movember to support their foundation’s mission to raise awareness for men’s health worldwide. How are we doing it? Well, we’re growing mustaches!
Movember: More Than Just a Mustache
Movember is a global foundation known for its dedication to raising awareness about men’s health, focusing on critical areas such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. This movement has been in action for a decade, achieving significant progress in promoting a proactive approach to men’s health, a topic that has often been considered taboo. Their iconic mustache symbolizes their commitment to changing the face of men’s health. That’s why, at Plusnet, we’ve joined this cause and will be proudly wearing mustaches as a symbol of our solidarity throughout this month.
A Healthy Challenge to Join
In line with the initiatives where we promote health and well-being at Plusnet, we’ve designed a challenge that encourages our team to get out and walk, adding up steps to reach a set goal. Each employee can log their daily steps, whether it’s from walking, running, or even playing sports. The goal is to reach a specific number. But here’s what makes this challenge even more special: for each employee who achieves the goal, the company will make a donation to the Movember Foundation.
We’ve also encouraged our employees to grow a mustache this month and share their photos on our internal social network. For our female employees, we’ve encouraged them to share men’s health tips within their circles and, in the process, encourage others to grow a mustache!
United for a Greater Cause
Our commitment to the Movember Foundation doesn’t end with this challenge. Throughout the month, we will carry out a series of communications focused on raising awareness about men’s health to continue supporting this crucial cause.
Men’s health is a topic that deserves our full attention and support, and we hope that everyone at Plusnet will join us in this effort to make a positive difference.
