Once again, we’ve come together for our annual OpenDay at our Madrid office. This open-house day has evolved into a celebration that promotes camaraderie, collaboration, and enjoyment. That’s why today, I want to invite you to discover why this event has become an unmissable date on our calendar:
A different working day
In a world where remote work has become the norm, our OpenDay represents a breath of fresh air. The premise is simple: we invite all those who are part of Plusnet to join us in the office for a day of work. The idea is to promote personal interaction, idea exchange, and teamwork in a more relaxed and collaborative environment.
Sharing Moments and Experiences
OpenDay is not just about work; it’s about sharing moments and experiences. We kick off the day with a delightful breakfast, taking a break to enjoy freshly brewed coffee and delicious pastries. This year, one of our colleagues even brought a homemade cake that quickly disappeared—it was absolutely delicious! This breakfast moment provides an excellent opportunity to catch up with those we rarely see in person or only meet once a year.
At the end of the workday, we organized a lunch where we enjoyed a meal together. It’s a perfect time to socialize, chat, and build connections beyond our daily work conversations. Plus, we ensure there’s beer and refreshments for those who want to relax even further.
The Plusnet Solutions Foosball Championship
This year, as a novelty, we added a special touch to OpenDay with the debut of the Plusnet Solutions Foosball Championship. The competition was fierce, with several teams vying for victory. As the matches progressed, you could feel the excitement in the air. (Rumor has it there was a bit of cheating in some teams… but I didn’t see anything.)
Although there were a few favorites, in the end, one pair claimed the winner’s cup, showcasing their foosball skills and leaving everyone eager for a rematch next year. The competition wasn’t just an opportunity to display foosball prowess; it also served to strengthen camaraderie within each team and ignite a competitive spirit among participants, with some friendly rivalries emerging between matches.
We’re Eager to Repeat
The success of this year’s OpenDay has left us eager to repeat this experience next year. It’s an occasion where work seamlessly combines with fun and the chance to socialize beyond the screens. However, for next year, we’re already planning to do it when the weather is better, so we can enjoy the sunshine on the terrace.
