This is not the first popular race that we have attended as a team at Plusnet. As a company we are committed to the health and well-being of our people. We also love to help, when these actions have a solidary background. For this reason, we have joined to participate in the X Race against Cancer held in Madrid on April 16, 2023.
But this time, we have also decided to extend participation to our entire workforce, regardless of where they live or where they are. In this way, anyone within Plusnet has been able to participate in the challenge by recording the activity with their smart watches (whether running 4km or 10km, corresponding to the two routes that took place in the Madrid race). So, in the end, 10 people completed the challenge, and for this reason, Plusnet decided to donate the price equivalent to their participation in the race to the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
As part of our plan and commitment to promote physical activity and well-being within Plusnet, we believe that this activity has greatly contributed to our staff cheering up during the race to get some exercise, which never comes bad ?
At the same time, we have contributed to a charitable and very important cause: the fight against cancer. This disease is one of the main causes of death worldwide, and it is essential to support research and prevention to improve the situation. In addition, this initiative allows us to demonstrate our commitment to corporate social responsibility, since at Plusnet we are willing to help the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in its research and prevention work on this disease.
We are very happy to see how our staff has been involved in this challenge. And we are also proud to see that our people are involved in solidarity actions. This makes us want to continue planning this type of challenges and actions, that demonstrates Plusnet’s commitment to health, well-being and, above all, to solidarity.
